The castle changed owners several times and from 1583 - 1589 it had three restorations. In 1828 the castle came into the possession of Alcamo municipality which used it for municipal offices, prison and stable. Another restoration took place in 1870. Following the latest restorations (made between 2000 and 2010), it has become the seat of the Ethnographic Museum and of the Historical Regional Vintage Wines Stock. |
