Cathedral (Santa Maria Assunta) | The Duomo of Benevento is a large five-aisle basilica that features a transept and a single apse. The west end of the church is covered by an ornate facade, including a sculpted bronze door with scenes and figures, and is flanked on the north by a campanile. Reliefs from Longobard tombs decorate the front of the tower. Behind the east end, there is a modern courtyard that has been added in recent restorations. | 60 |

Santa Sofia | Monastery consists of a church and cloister. Church is centralized and has a double ambulatory, three apses, and a dome. The inner hexagon is constituted by six columns with Corinthian capitals, and the outer arcade is supported by eight piers and two columns. Two more columns, probably reused Roman spolia, frame the west facade. Cloister walk features arcade with lunette arches making groups of four openings. Openings have horseshoe arches, eclectically shaped colonnettes, and figural imposts. | 16 |
